About Haalim

Haalim is unlike Nimra Ahmed’s earlier romantic or purely spiritual works. Serialised in Khawateen Digest between 2017 and 2019, it became a phenomenon for its bold, experimental mix of genres — combining a political thriller with time travel and historical fiction. Set against the backdrop of modern Malaysia and the ancient realm of Malacca, it stands out as one of the most original novels in contemporary Urdu literature.
