Mazhar Kaleem MA

The Imran Series by Mazhar Kaleem is one of the most popular collections of Urdu spy fiction ever written. Mazhar Kaleem (1942–2018), a lawyer and novelist from Multan, wrote hundreds of Imran Series spy novels within the classic mythos originally created by the legendary writer Ibn-e-Safi. Over a career spanning five decades, he became the most prolific and widely read author to continue the series, earning a huge and devoted fan following across Pakistan and beyond.

These fast-paced novels follow Ali Imran, a brilliant but seemingly carefree Oxford graduate who secretly heads a country’s Secret Service as the mysterious “X-2.” Blending action, mystery, humour, and clever detective work, each novel is a thrilling, self-contained adventure, while some famous stories such as Kaghazi Qayamat and Imran Ka Aghwa span multiple books.
